Suprata for fire departments and EMS agencies

Know every sprinkler, alarm and paramedic card that is coming due

Fire prevention offices get a live picture of every fire protection system in the district, filed by the contractors who test them. Training officers see every firefighter's and medic's certifications, continuing education hours and skill checks on one record. Drills and tabletop exercises get planned, run and reviewed in the same family of tools.

What a normal week looks like without the right system

We hear these from fire departments and EMS agencies all the time. Here is what Suprata does about each one.

Contractors mail us sprinkler and alarm test reports on paper, and we only find out a system is out of service when someone happens to read page three.

With Suprata Inspections, contractors file each report online on a form built for that system type, and any out-of-service system jumps to an alert box on the fire prevention dashboard.

Half my paramedics renew in the same spring, and I am counting continuing education hours from a binder to see who is short.

Suprata Training tracks each certification's renewal cycle and continuing education hours, and reminds the medic and then the supervisor before it lapses.

When a building owner ignores a deficiency, we are the ones typing letters and keeping a tickler file for the follow-up.

Owners get notices by email or mailed letter automatically when a report lists problems, a system comes due or a report is overdue.

Every new hire and every promotion means I rebuild their training list by hand and hope I did not miss a skill sheet.

Each position is linked to its required courses, recurring items and hands-on skill checks, so a hire or promotion assigns the right training on its own.

A day in the life with Suprata

One ordinary day, start to finish

Here is how the work flows when every call, job, booking and payment lives in one place.

  1. 7:30 am

    Shift change check

The training officer opens the certifications page and sees which medics expire in the next 90 days. Reminders already went to each one.

  2. 8:45 am

    Out-of-service alert

An alarm contractor filed a report overnight showing a panel with no signal to the monitoring station. It sits at the top of the fire prevention dashboard.

  3. 10:00 am

    Review incoming reports

The fire marshal accepts a batch of passing sprinkler reports at once and returns one with a note asking for missing readings.

  4. 1:30 pm

    Skill checks at Station 2

A captain signs off hands-on skill checks for two new firefighters on a tablet, and the results land on their records.

  5. 3:00 pm

    Owner notices go out

Buildings with overdue reports get their notice by email or mailed letter without anyone typing a letter.

  6. 6:00 pm

    Drill review

The chief replays tonight's tabletop exercise turn by turn and prints the after-action report.

Questions we hear

Straight answers

Asked by fire departments and EMS agencies before they switch.

Do contractors pay to file reports?

They can. Suprata Inspections supports a per-report filing fee that the contractor pays online by card before submitting, so the program can run at no cost to the department or the building owner.

Which fire protection systems are covered?

Eighteen system types are built in, including fire alarms, sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps, kitchen hood suppression, hood cleaning, extinguishers, emergency lights, backflow, fire doors and private hydrants. Each has its own checklist, readings, interval and problem library.

Can it track EMT and paramedic continuing education hours?

Yes. Each certification type carries its issuer, renewal cycle and continuing education hours, and the hours count toward renewal.

Does it replace our incident reporting system?

No. Suprata handles inspections, training, drills, equipment and maintenance. Inspection records can sync to your existing records system through field mapping and a sync log.
