Suprata for transit agencies

Pay contracted service exactly what the contract says

Most transit agencies pay outside operators for fixed route, paratransit, microtransit or vanpool service. Suprata Settlement builds each monthly invoice from service data and the contract terms in effect on each date. Commuter lots, fleet maintenance, rider input and staff training each have their own tool.

What a normal week looks like without the right system

We hear these from transit agencies all the time. Here is what Suprata does about each one.

Every month our operator sends a total, and we spend a week rebuilding it from missed trips, late pull-outs and complaints.

Suprata Settlement calculates the invoice from service data and contract rules, and every line shows its formula and inputs.

The fuel price adjustment is a spreadsheet only one analyst understands.

Settlement applies the fuel adjustment from monthly index prices against a baseline, as data, not a formula hidden in a cell.

Our park-and-ride permits are a paper list, and we cannot tell who has paid.

Suprata Parking issues digital permits by plate, runs billing on a set day each month and tracks past-due balances.

We hold a public meeting about a route change and hear from the same eight people every time.

Suprata Engage adds surveys, map comments and live polls in English and Spanish, with no account needed to take part.

A day in the life with Suprata

One ordinary day, start to finish

Here is how the work flows when every call, job, booking and payment lives in one place.

  1. 7:00 am

    Service data lands

Overnight feeds bring in yesterday's service hours. Rows that fail checks wait in the exceptions queue.

  2. 9:00 am

    Service events

The settlement analyst accepts a late pull-out the operator reported and rejects a duplicate.

  3. 11:00 am

    Rate change

A new hourly rate starts mid-month. Before saving, the preview lists every invoice the change affects.

  4. 1:30 pm

    Invoice review

The paratransit invoice moves to manager approval. An open dispute on the vanpool invoice blocks its approval until it is resolved.

  5. 3:00 pm

    Sealed and sent

Approved invoices are locked and sealed, pass nine checks and go to accounts payable as a voucher file.

  6. 4:30 pm

    Corridor outreach

Planning staff check how many map comments the corridor study received today, filtered by area and language.

Questions we hear

Straight answers

Asked by transit agencies before they switch.

Can contractors submit their own invoices and events?

Yes. Each contractor gets a portal to submit the monthly invoice, report service events, add charges or credits with documents, open disputes and see payments.

What if the rate changes in the middle of the month?

Rates and rules have start and end dates, so a mid-month change is split by service date automatically.

Can an approved invoice be changed later?

Not quietly. Locked invoices are sealed records. An administrator unlock needs a reason and creates a new version, and both records are kept.

Can we rebuild an old invoice for an audit?

Yes. Any sealed invoice can be rebuilt today and compared line by line with the original.
